Can we have crabs in a well planted freshwater aquarium with fish? What precautions do I have to take if any? Will the crabs attack the fishes?Somebody please advise.

Yes the crabs will attack and make lunch out of the fish or at least injure them. If you want crabs, they would be best in their own tank.

Yes and there aren't too many Freshwater crabs out there that are commonly availble, though I believe one member here has a type of Freshwater crab that is peaceful but only lives a year or two. Most eat fish or are bracksih like Rose said. sorry
