Found some baby fish! Surprise!

Over the last few days I've been moving some plants around, and gathering up some to sell. In the process I moved all the guppy grass that I didn't sell into the 10 gallon red shrimp tank.

Yesterday evening I noticed at least three tiny fish in that tank. Maybe there were fish eggs on the plants that I moved from the 20 long?

My best guess (or maybe just what I'm hoping for) is celestial pearl danios.

Sounds like you need another tank.

Funny I just moved a bunch of water lettuce from my upstairs tank into a new shrimp tank to help it age. A few days later a dozen or more CPD babies. I always assumed they bred in moss only. Now I have celestial pearl danios in yet another tank.

Well, they aren't cpd's. They just kept getting bigger, until they're about as large as a cpd, but don't look anything like one. Their fins are longer horizontally, but not very tall, they have a lateral line, and they're starting to take on some blue coloration. I didn't remember taking any plants from the 65 and moving them to that tank, but I must have, because they're starting to look a lot like Lake Kutubu rainbowfish.

I wound up with 7 or 8. I guess I'll sell them when they get big enough. I don't have room to keep them.
