Found Betta fry

I feel so stupid, I am trying to divide 2 10 gallons for me bettas so they have more room and I decided to take my spawn tank down since I have another 10 gallon outside. I've neglected it a little and there is about an inch of water and a ton of dead plants and IAL in it. I saw something moving, and there haven't been any fish in here for at least a month, and I figured it was a mosquito larvae, nope, its a baby betta!!! I feel so bad

This is after taking out most of the dead plants and IAL...

I'm not 100% sure how many there are, but it's between 20 and 30.

Which of your betta spawned? Congrats! They must be hardy little guys/gals. Talk to MarkN1990 about fry surviving against the odds! Seriously - you two just need to stop trying apparently!

If I remember correctly it was my blue grizzle CT female and black/red butterfly CT.
I'm astonished they survived this long!

I'm acclimating them right now to new water and you can see just how bad their water was! Most of it is IAL tannins but it's disgusting...

You can see some red on them. I'm not sure of it shows up on the pictures though.

There so cute!! I'm looking for a female or two, if you'd be willing to sell when they get a bit bigger and start eating actual blood worms, i'd be happy to buy and find a way to ship them. Because in Nebraska good betta breeders are rare and my local fish store is only carrying males for a while. I've been looking online but so far no reliable sources

Echo, PM me and I can tell you prices and such. On my other thread I have a wait list for my black and white spawn if you are interested in them.

They are doing well, They have been eating microworms an BBS the past fee days.

Can you pm me too? I probably won't be able to buy any for a while if at all but I'd like to know the prices.

That's amazing. Those are some hardy fish! Good thing there was IAL in there. They probably lived off biofilm!

I'm so surprised they are still alive, they are only 1/4 of an inch right now, tiny tiny!

Holy cow! I would have felt exactly the same way! Amazed that they survived, excited that the spawn worked, and awful that I didn't see them What a rollercoaster of emotions!

Update:

Getting bigger! Excuse the nasties on the floor, I'm slowly getting rid of them from their old water.

Congratulations! It's amazing what can happen when we don't intervene.

Must be something in your water because you are Fry Rich.

Thank you again
2 unexpected batches of fry is a lot to take care of! This is considered a small spawn compared to the hundreds there usually are...

It's a good practice run for you

Congrats on your fry! They look so teeny tiny. Good thing you noticed them before you did anything with the spawn tank. I hope they all get big and strong.
