Food for guppies, platies, and julii cories?

HI all,
I have planned a 20 gallon freshwater planted tank with four male guppies, three platies, six juliI cory catfish, and three amano shrimp. The plants will be anacharis, java fern, possibly java moss, water wisteria, and anubias, just to give you a bit of backround information.

Lately I have been looking into food. I don't really know a good brand for guppies or platies. I would rather get a type of food that is good for both of them, so that way I don't have to worry about one eating the other's food. Also, what kind of food should I get for the school of juliI cories? They eat algae and leftover food, right? And do they clean plants? If they do, will that be enough food for them or should I buy algae wafers or something?

If someone could recommend a brand that they have used successfully on guppies, platies, or both, also the jullI cory thing, that'd be great. Thanks!

Hello,
Corys don't eat algae, just leftover food and such, you should get them sinking shrimp pellets to help supplement their diet. as for platys and guppys you could give them flakes or floating pellets. My favorite fish food brand is Omaga One, they have really great ingredients and sell flakes and shrimp pellets .

Yeah thanks I do agree that Omega One is pretty awesome, but is there a specific food for platies and guppies?

Thanks for the help Goatfish

There really isn't any specific formula for guppies or platies but I guess this comes pretty close, since they are small fish:

You might want to get some of omega one's micro veggie pellets for the Amano shrimp.
As for the platies and guppies, I actually dislike flakes so I feed them tetra crisps. But omega one is definitely one of the best food brands out there. They stand out from the rest just off ingredients.
