Flying fox

reds

Good day. My friend could no longer take care of his fish. He sold most but was left with a flying fox. I only have a 10 gallon tank which houses a single male betta. The betta seems to chase him a bit. No nipping or flaring. Is this normal if not what do I do? I like him he's only about 1 inch. How big do they get and are they agresive?

Flying fox are not aggressive but it will definitely outgrow a 10g

Bettas are territorial so no doubt they are having disputes.

I'd rehome it if you can or if you have a larger tank for it to go into.

They're also schooling fish right? So he'd have to get 5 more if he has a bigger tank?

I believe like the SAE they do best in groups.

The true Flying Fox is a territorial loner as an adult. Grows to about 6".
