Fluval Spec Warranty? Tank Leak!

****?? Tank sprang a leak. Does Fluval carry a warranty? I emailed them but it's 10pm here.

I just placed the filter media, water from tank, plants, and one fish into a bucket. Do not want to come home to a disaster tomorrow as I work all day.

I'm really concerned as I did a 90% PWC earlier today. Then I noticed the towel next to the tank was wet. Thought I spilled, no big deal. Moved the towel and noticed the wet spot. A few more towels later and it's still wet. Oh no!!

Laying in bed and all I can think about is finding a huge disaster tomorrow, hence everything in the 5lb bucket. Aghhh!!

Now I worry as the bucket has no heat or filter. How long can this go on? House stays pretty warm, but still.

Can I put a heater on the plastic bucket or will it melt?

Unless you have your heater set high enough to cook the fish, your bucket should not melt.

Just keep the heater away from the side of the bucket if your worried.

Good luck with Fluval, I hope they will help you! I know that tank isn't cheap!

Got a response today from Fluval. The tank is warranted for 2 years. They want pictures of receipt and tank. Should be interesting as I bought the tank online.

I printed the original receipt of Amazon today. Took photos too.

Here's a temporary home for the fish for now. She's not happy and showing signs of stress.

I'm worried about my plants too. They have no light and they're new.
I shoved them in the shrimp tank for now so they get some light.

I placed the Fluval filter media in the 2.5g and added the sponge filter from my shrimp tank.

Now to see what Fluval does with this warranty.

Now I'm wondering if I should put the betta in this temporary tank and let the puffer have the betta tank. Oh man, I can't decide what to do!

Contacted Fluval and they want a receipt and photos of the tank. Of course the photos won't upload. Now I have to print photos and use snail mail. This should be fun, not!

Well, if you have not already sent it, I would sent a certified letter where you can get delivery confirmation. Otherwise they *could* claim they never got it.

So my new tank has arrived, just the tank, nothing more. Glad I saved the pump and light parts.
