Fluval 70 how to reduce water flow

Duckymagoo

I'm running the Fluval 70 on my 29 gallon tank. I set it up and got it all primed and going but noticed maybe the water flow was to much for my fish. Especially during feeding times.

The filter manual suggests to turn the water flow down during times of feeding to reduce current and food flying every where. Would I hurt to leave the flow down or halfway down most of the time or should I always move the flow back up to maximum when I'm not feeding. I just feel like my cories have a hard time swimming around if it is up all the way

Just leave the flow down.

Ok I'm just worried it won't filter as good or something if I leave the flow down but I guess since I'm over filtering anyway that it kind of balances out

Haha, I have around 400 gph in my 29 gallon. The fish like to play with the current or wait until the food is on the sand

That's kinda high, what filter do you have?

why do you need more?
