I have a Fluval 407 on my planted 55 gallon tank. I'm also running a Tetra PF 60 HOB filter on it as it came with the tank. Anyway, the 407 puts out a ton of flow to go along with the HOB, so I was going to try to disperse the flow a little bit so my fish aren't blown around as much. While I do have plenty of areas shielded from the flow, my SAE doesn't go to the entire tank because it has a hard time getting the BBA off the val in areas were the flow is greatest. I was looking into getting the Fluval Spray Bar Kit. However, I'm a little stuck on where to place it. My intake and output for the 407, the HOB intake, and heater are all on the rear of the tank. Will the spray bar stick out far enough to go around these, or am I going to have to reshuffle some equipment? It's not as easy as it seems, as my glass canopy has custom cutouts for my equipment to help prevent my mystery snails from taking a walkabout (glideabout?). Any other thoughts on placement? I saw that some people put it toward the bottom of the tank but I don't know how it would work with the Fluval as it the connector loops over the top of the tank.
