Fluffy algae on plants?

    It's all over my anubias, all over its roots. I even have a little cave that's covered in these little guys. What's happening?
    I wanted to use my algae killer but heard it will kill my hornworts

    Looks like black beard algea. Do you have plants that are sensitive to excel? The ingredient, Glutaraldehyde, is known to work very well with getting rid of this, but there are plants that will melt/die from it.

    Edit: you would have to Google this as I'm not privy to which plants

    I think my swords are sensitive to that

    :( I'm sorry, I can't think of much to help with it. I don't have live plants yet, so I don't have that worry
