Floating translucent mucus

I'm just gonna make this quick because I'm off to bed but if found this clear mucus stuff floating in my tank. I'm currently cycling. Have been since April 22nd. The best way I can describe it is that it looks like a shrimps molt. There's some free floating on the top of the water like soup skin and stuck in my power heads and I guess just tiny bits on the rock aswell. I can send it all floating about if I blast it with a turkey baster. If it matters the tank is pretty much all marco dry rock. I've read that it's a bacterial bloom. I'm wondering if this is a good thing or bad? I am cycling and I know cycling is to build up bb but is this normal?

My concern is this..... I did have a automatic spray air freshener going. It's been going the entire time cycling but is far from the tank. Recently tho my window has been opened so it very well coulda got to the tank. The following link I found kinda sounds accurate but before I go trying to syphon out bb if that's what it is I thought I'd ask if it's normal. Or it could be like this

Sometimes when you Google your symptoms when you have the flu Google makes you think you're dying. So thought I'd check... is this normal?

Hi,
I haven't experienced it myself, but if it's related to bacterial growth, I'd let it run its course.

I'm not 100% sure what it is. The tank is cycling at the moment. I've eliminated the air freshener. I was going to syphon as much out as possible and change some of the water. My concern is that when I do add fish or corals that it will take over and smother them

Well since this post I've killed the air freshener. Also during the cycle I've been running my protein skimmer most of the time. I have the skimmer running for more surface agitation and circulation because it's a hob Remora. Ever since I started adding ammonia I've had to have the cup fully raised and it still fills in no time wet. Well last night I also took the fish guard off the Cobalt MaxI Jet 1200 pump. Since then the cup doesn't fill nearly as fast and the mucus has seemed to clear. At least off the surface where it was floating like soup skin. I'll check Powerhead etc later to see if it's still on them or not. Maybe it just caught hold on some rock? Who knows but I'm going to keep an eye on it and see if it comes back. I just wasn't sure if it was bb and was normal or not. Thanks for the input tho ryanr

A picture would be helpful. If you're skimming I'd be surprised if it was surface skim. How's your overflow work?

Could be death from ammonia dosing.. Clean your jet's they may be clogged.

^ this guy so worried about the ammonia dosing lol. It's gone for now anyhow. I was thinking it may have been from ammonia aswell because when I first add the ammonia it looks like I shot a ghost or spirit into the tank lol. What do you mean by over flow? Nothing is clogged and is all brand new. Death of..? There isn't much in the tank to be seen. Some bristle worms, fan worms, a couple amphipod I saw and some other worms I forget which but they're all living.fine for now. Maybe some dead bacteria idk. For the time being tho its gone. Really giving me a hard time about ammonia dosing It seems to have worked for plenty of people and I've already started. I don't wanna keep switching methods. I kinda have a routine going so I'm gonna try to stick with it for a bit. I still may do a pwc tho in a few days just cause. That darn last 1 ppm I didn't have the battery power to take a pic at the time I originally posted this and it's gone now. The link I posted is almost identical but a lot less. Like I said. If you've ever seen a shrimp molt that's basically what it looks like. The shrimps molt floating around
