Floating plants in other tanks - Will they survive?

Long story short all the plants for my new tank have arrived early but the tank itself is running late and won't be here for 3 or 4 days, I've got various types that need rooting as well as java moss will they be OK floating about in my other tanks for a few days even though they need to be rooted? Or will they all die?

AS long as they are kept wet, the plants should be OK.

Rinse them off in running tap water to clean off any algae, slime, etc.

If you are afraid of snails, there are several types of dips you can use to kill live snails and eggs that often hitchhike with the plants. Here are some suggestions.

The put them in a glass or plastic bowl with dechlorinated tap water and put them in a sunny spot until you can get your tank up and running.

Brilliant thanks, I'm not too worried about snails as the assassins need food.. Plus I just don't mind them much anyway. I was just worried that all the money on plants was going to be wasted!

Thanks again

They will be fine. 99.9% of plants can thrive happily without being planted if their nutrient, light and carbon needs are met.
