Floating Plant

Can anyone help me identify this floating plant that has taken over my betta tank? I didn’t buy it, so it must have hitchhiked its way on another plant. Also, any tips for removing it? I do like the look of a little of it, but it grows so quickly and keeps taking over the entire top of the water. The other plants below can’t get enough light. Thanks!

Ugh, duckweed. Many others share your experience with it. It's known for hitchhiking in on other plants. Other people should have some good methods for removal.
