Floating Peacock Fern?

We went to petsmart today and got some plants... including a peacock fern. To my dismay, turns out it isn't an aquatic plant! Is it possible to have it floating on the surface of the tank, or would it be better to return it?

I am not certain that you can, it’s not a root plant afterall.

Thanks! Does anyone else have any opinions on this? I don't want it to end up dying. I was thinking maybe it'd work as a floating plant, but I can't keep all of the leaves above the water so I'm not too sure it'd survive.

You can try. The leaves it has will still die to adjust to your tank conditions.

Alright, thank you! I'll try it out and see how it goes.
