Hi,
I have just recently gotten some cherry barbs and I just noticed three of the four of them flicking against the drift wood. Is that called flashing? Anyway, I just finished treating them with API general cure, because of wasting deseas, but now I noticed them flicking. They weren't doing it before and the general cure should have gotten rid of most parasites. I don't think stress is causing it and I did a water change today, so it's not bad water quality.other than the flicking they seem fine. I don't see any white spots, but could it be ick? Should I go ahead and treat for ick? Any other suggestions? Anything is helpful.

fish will flash against decorations or substrate for a number of reasons. They could have ick, or it could be poor water conditions/wrong Ph and hardness. Or it could be internal parasites. If there are no spots then it is not ick. If your water is fine then I'd think that it is an internal problem. (or maybe they just have an itch 0.o)
