hey, don't put yourself down too much. you are doing all you can to save him, as for your treatment continue with salt treatment, it helped my betta with fin rot and I have had a fish with popeye disease worked for that too. I am so glad you are doing better now.

I feel like leaving this forum or joining a different one. I don't think I'll join another one though because I'll probably just be another nuisance there too.

I've just annoyed the heck out of everyone on here with all my questions, gotten in trouble by the mods, etc. It's probably best if I leave.

I don't know. Maybe I won't leave. Maybe this is just a temporary feeling. I know I shut down when I get corrected by somebody. In this case, the mods.

I just feel terrible.

Everything is going just awful.

Thank you, but I do have to apologize because I’m being a nuisance. I know I ruin everything, but never thought I’d actually be able to ruin things on a fish forum. Everywhere I go I just ruin everything, can’t do anything right, even on a friendly fish forum. I mean really, what’s wrong with me? This forum was probably problem free until I came into existence. Sorry for the vent. I’m just very down.

Hey whitelightning- I know others have said what I am going to, but please, do not apologize for asking for help. That's what forums like this are for! There is nothing wrong with you- you're just worried about a beloved pet, which shows just how compassionate and caring you must be. Most betta owners put very little care into their fish, and the fact that you've not only given him an appropriately sized home, but are also going to such great lengths to help him survive, is truly incredible. I struggle with depression myself, and I know how hard it can be. I know that you can feel like a burden- but I promise, you are not. Please continue to ask questions and update us on Flat Pat. I hope he recovers, and that you find some relief as well
