Flakes Stuck On Automatic Feeder: Moisture

HI all,

I have guppies in my tank and I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks. I bought an automated feeder (in the picture) but the built up moist makes the food unable to go in the tank.

I'm currently feeding them flakes. Is there another type of food I could use which is less prone to stick on the feeder?

Thanks.

Do they make pellets for guppies? I'd imagine that would work. I also saw food "pyramids" for vacation feeding fish at my LFS, though I don't have personal experience with how well they work, if at all.

Yes. There is a HikarI micro pellet () for small tropical fish, and they carry it at Petco, Petsmart, etc. I think Fluval Bugbites () small pellets would also work, and is a great food. Another option is Tetra brand "granules" (), which they probably even carry at your local super market These are all very small pellet foods, suitable for guppies. Because they are so small, you still might run into it feeding too much at a time, but it is better than uneven clumps.
