Flake food and frozen food recommendations

Anyone know of any good flake food that is good for fish without alot of filler? I'm feeding my fish tetramin flakes and my fish don't seem to hot about it. Nobody likes the red flakes in it, seen all my fishes spit it out. I have cardinals, danios, cories, yoyo loach and an Eba. Also is there any significant difference with frozen food brands? Im using San Fran bay bloodworms and brine shrimp w/spirilina, just wondering if there is anything better for my fish.

 

My favorite commercial food is fluval bug bites, but I would also encourage you to make your own food, I will be soon, I have the spirulina and all the non-perishable ingredients, just need to make a grocery store trip, it should be better than regular food.

 

I don't claim to be an authority, but I use quite a bit of Xtreme brand fish food, including flake food. The fish certainly don't cull for color.

Thanks, have heard good things about Xtreme. Not sure what the red/pink flakes are made of in the tetramin but thats only flake all my fish hate, the other in there they will eat.

You mainly have midwater and bottom feeders. I'd switch to pellets. Or completely scratch dry foods and instead do a wider range of frozen and live foods.

Yep at the moment I do, want to get some top dwellers eventually. Think going pellets is the best thing at the moment cuz the flakes end up at the bottom not eaten and not helping my snail outbreak.
