No sub forum on fish food so here it is.
I have 12 small and medium size tiger Barbs all by themselves in their own tank.
I have been using “TetraPro Tropical Crisps”.
These round flakes are designed to float. They are crispy as well. Designed to help keep the tank cleaner than regular flakes.
This formula seems to be harder for the smaller fish to eat. They end up getting a flake, cannot swallow it and in most cases other bigger fish steal it from them.
Some of the food does make it to the bottom where it softens up. So the smaller Barbs do get their fair share.
I have been crushing a tiny bit in my hand and it is acceptable. But not how this food is designed to be used.
I need suggestions on another flake or other formula to start feeding along with the brine shrimp I give them as well.
I’m not stopping the “Crisps”. But use it when my smaller Barbs get a little bigger.
I want to add another high quality food for now.
Also what do you guys think about the TetraPro Crisps?
They clearly work as intended. But not so well with small mouths.....lol
TIA........John
