Fishroom before and after

HI all! So I am stealing this idea from Sunflower as I just saw her post on fish tank before and afters, so I am taking it one step further and doing a fish rrom before and after. Below is a photo of my first ever tank and was my only tank when I started out V.S the second photo which is my fishroom now (it is going to take a minute for the photos to show up, I have to take one and find a old photo of my old first tank)

For those of you curious my first tank was a 36 gallon biocube aquarium that I got for Christmas 4 years ago, I didn't really cycle this tank and am amazed at how well the first few fish I got did considering I would go months without water changes (of course now I do regular maintenance). If you told me then that in four years my basement would be full fo fish tanks I think I would dismiss that as crazy, then again I would also dismiss it as crazy that I would ever have a oscar so.....

I now have 13 aquariums (a 130, 55, 40, 40, 36, 29, 29, 15, 10, 5, 5, 5). Two of the 5 gallons are snail breeding buckets but I still count them, also technically the 130 is a 170 as it has a 40 gallon sump.

Yeah lots of water changes!
Can’t wait to see pictures!!

It will probably be tomorrow, the fishroom is already shutdown tonight and I am having issues finding a photo of the biocube when it was first set up.

Want to hear my stocking for my first tank? Here it was, 36 gallons, 5 gallon water changes a month, all added in the first month of the tank setup....

1x molly
2x dwarf gourami
1x sword tail
1x common pleco
1x Chinese algae eater
3x nerite snails
2x silver dollars

There may also be more, oh how many mistakes I made. The worst part was I wanted to add a goldfish, I held off but man I remember wanting one! So glad I know better now....
Do you still have any of those fish?

I still have one of the silver dollars, that's it though. The swordtail only passed a few months ago though so he lasted a pretty long time to.

Just thought of this as well. This can be a fishroom before and after and after because I am moving in a couple months so my fishroom will be changed again in a bit!

And this is where we find out you really are insane moving with that many tanks is just crazy. I know that if I move my tank stays with the house I’m not attempting to move it.
