fishlore status?

I wasn't suggesting a change XP. Just sharing my experince between the 2, I like green bars better. The one thing is that the scale and green bars are just sooooo unnoticeable, I doubt someone would get it unless they were told or messing around, and this coming from someone who understands what a rep system is.

I think if we included a tutorial of all the symbols and such in a "welcome to Fishlore" email when people registered, these systems would be used much more than they're used now.

 

Isn't there a way to get rid of that annoying sig (link)?
I don't care where people are posting from.

I believe what you are referring to is like when it says "posted from tapatalk" or something similar. That is from the actual app or phone the person is using. The person posting would have to disable that through the device they are using.

Sorry, I updated the two titles late last night. Fish Bum is no longer a title. Fish Bum was merged with FishLore Newbies. FishLore Newbies until 100 posts and changed FishMaster to FishLore VIP. Mike, did you remove the icon for gender? I actually liked knowing the gender of the person posting for some reason. Just like where they are from. It just makes it a more personal communication (not really the words I'm looking for but maybe you'll know what I mean).

 

I've never seen "stars" before, but I am very accustomed to the green rep bars from my Xterra forum. I instantly know I'm reading a post from (or communicating with) a member who really knows his/her stuff. I also recognize that this is a member who has truly put in some time and effort as well. I say keep the bars

Yes, Mike removed the Gender and Amount of experience from everyone's posts. This information still available on their profile page.

 

I think they do speak volumes about a member's experience and reputation on the forum. Without them it's hard to differentiate which members really know their stuff.

Plus it's nice to be recognized as a member that really puts their all into helping others.

It is great to be recognized, but unfortunately I find that a lot of really good advice goes unrecognized. So I don't personally feel like it is always a good representation of who knows their stuff and who doesn't, necessarily.

I agree, it's a very under-used feature on Fishlore. That's why I recommended a crash course tutorial when you join the site
