Fishkeeping- The Stress And The Calm

after being in the hobby only for a short amount of time, i've realized how both stressful and calm it is.
we are almost always uneasy about tank params, fish illness, pests.. or at least some of us are. I think some people have been in the hobby for so long they've learned to relax and enjoy it. in my case, my first tank was very stressful to set up and for me to understand.. I was constantly worrying about my cycle, plants, etc.. it effected my daily life and made me feel miserable at times.
though worrying will never get you through the problem, you need to take some deep breaths, still your mind, and work your way through this situation. this is my goal to aI'm for.
I love waking up every morning and seeing my fish babies happy and thriving. these little guys have meant so much to me. when i'm stressed out I like to just sit in front of my tank and watch the ecosystem I have maintained. slowly and progressively i'm doing more research to understand what is happening within the glass of my aquarium. it really gives me so much inspiration.
I don't know if I'll get any responses on this. I wouldn't mind reading your adventures with your own tanks myself.

Absolutely with ya on this one. I’ve got a tank right now with tons of algae I can’t fight off. The Nitrates are always high etc. At the end of the day though it’s really just about watching your fish and enjoying the interactions. I found this video speaks to that very point.

I’m new to this too; I got my first tank for Christmas. I have enjoyed it so much...while probably checking water parameters way too frequently to make sure everything is OK. I have loved reading about fish, plants, and have been gradually stocking. I love watching the fish when I get home. This hobby has been a huge stress reliever.

I absolutely hated lugging buckets just now..
I just rearranged those rocks and plants in the corner. I could have pruned up some of my plants because they're not doing so well, but man am I exhausted from this. ill do it later, lol.
I need to look for a background. and for a way to stop those stupid snails. and to keep my plants from dying
pretty darn stressful. I need to calm down and relax for a minute.

Yep, I feel ya!
And when you think maybe, just maybe, you have the hang of it, something else goes wrong and you spend hours investigating what the h%#l you did wrong.
I’m at that stage now with one tank.
Luckily, my other tank is thriving (knocks on wood!) and I love sitting and watching that one.
