Fish Terraces

HI all! I was directed her because the question I have does not suit the other post. I was wondering if any of you have experience will fish terraces or something like that. My stock plan for the 10 gallon is 1 Mexican Dwarf Crayfish, 10 Yellow Shrimp, 2 Mystery Snails, and 6 Malaysian Trumpet Snails. I am also putting driftwood, plants, and something that looks like this in the tank. Do I need the terrace or am I fine?

I think it could be fun to have in that particular tank. I do think that they would use it, as far as needed, no It isn't NEEDED but it would be fun.

If I got it should I put plants or something else next to it so the Crayfish or Shrimp could climb onto it?

I would think about putting something there to aid them in the climb, granted the shrimp can get up there without help so it might give them a place to hide if you don't put plants in to aid in the climb. Its 6 of one half dozen of the other to me.

I was questioning it, because I wasn't sure if they'd need to hide or not. They get about the same size as the Mexican Orange Dwarf Crayfish anyways.

they may or may not, it depends on the temperament of the individuals in the tank.
