So I bought a 29 gallon from some guy for $10 he said there isn't any leaks but when I got him I noticed there wasn't any silicone on the walls. Will it leak? Or should I be fine?

Post a picture of it? I'm pretty sure any tank without the silicone will leak.

Only one way of testing it out...pour some water in it.

Well I don't want it to be fine one day and all over my floor the next is the thing
The first one is the inside and the second is the outside

Seems to me there is black silicone on the corners, someone might wan to double check this though. If you are worried about it leaking , take it outside and fill it for a few days. If it holds up then it should be fine.

Did you ask the sell if he did the silicone job? Just ask that question don't ask if it came stock like that. If he says it came like that it's likely ok to use. There are some companies that use black silicone as it hides dirt and stuff better than clear. Also doesn't stain if you have to treat the tank.

If in doubt.....fill it up outside and leave it for a week. Should be long enough to see if it is going to leak.

It doesn't have black silicone. It's clear. It's just picking up like that for some reason. It has clear silicone on the bottom
And I can't leave it outside unfortunately cuz I have dogs that will try to tear it up
So I guess I'll just seal it in case lol

Best bet if in Doubt cut all old silicone out and resilicone it 7 days full cure great piece of mind plus the silicone is part of the structural support
