Fish tank stand

hi!

i know i previously made a post about the cinder block stand, but i had to put that on hold for reasons. I recently got another 5g tank for shrimps only and need a table for it so i decided to plan out a 5 ft cinderblock stand for my 3 tanks, 2 5g and 1 10g on the stand. Here is my sketch, would it be able to hold? Also when I move my tanks onto them is it okay if my filter media is left w/o water for 10 min?

By distinction, Cinder and Cement blocks are different things. Cement is heavier and holds more weight, and Cinder are lighter and hold less weight. Regardless, either will work just fine for this idea, my only concern would be stability. I have never tried this, but I have used the blocks before. Just make sure they are in a stable area and nothing will hit it of course. People use Cement blocks to hold cars up and Cinder blocks for things a bit less than a car, so 250Lbs of 3 tanks and the stuff along with them would be no problem. If you are concerned about your media just drain some tank water into a bowl and throw the media in there for the transition time.

thank you! i will do that for the media for sure. I did make a cinder block stand for my 20g long that's been holding up really well in my living room and it wont budge at all so i don't think its problem for smaller stands, just wondering if this would be okay as its 5ft long

Yeah, you've got a center support. It'll hold without issue. If you've done it before then you have more experience with it than I. If unsure, just fill the tanks bare bottom on the stand and see what happens. Watch it as they fill and if there is anything that seems not right go from there. Personally, I would use treated 2x6s in this case. Buy a 10Ft at Home Depot and they will cut it in half for free. You can use plywood, but it may expand and loose strength over time.
