Fish Tank Reviews

HI fishlore fans,
I'm new to the fishlore forums and I'm feeling like a newbie fishkeeper about now. I have a 29 gallon freshwater setup for 6-7 years. I have been looking into getting a much bigger tank. But I'm finding out that my knowledge of equipment is nil and there is not much review info on the net. I would like to set-up a 100-125 Gallon tank (I'm limited to 60" or 1500mm in length). The best deal I have been able to find is from a Manufacturer called Jebo. The tanks are 10mm glass with rounded front corners, (which I like). Plastic veneer stand and hood. The hood has built in 2-pin fluorescent tubes (3X40W), external canister filter.
The questions I have are; does anybody have any personal or sales experience with this tank, stand, or hood setup? Or does anyone have any info on other brands? I just need direction and education on equipment and reviews for a tank this size. All reply's welcome.

The only experience I have with tanks that size are with Perfecto and All-Glass, of which I think All-Glass are built better.

Perfecto and All-Glass are actually built by the same company; the Perfecto line is the budget line.

those are some nice looking tanks, but i've not heard of them before. Perhaps they're a more local company?

Actually, I was mistaken -- Perfecto is owned by Marineland now.

I have an All-Glass 150 and it rules if that means anything to you. It's pretty standard. I think half inch glass and square corners. They sell them at my "local" Petsmart for I think 600 bucks plus 400 for the stand with a free UGF which I recommend avoiding.

wow...it's hard to believe stands are so expensive! my brother built and designed mine and several others and they are far more SOLID than anything sold commercially. he should go into business! plus they'd be custom fits

Yes for sure. I have taken to building my own stands. As you said, much more sturdy. Also MUCH less expensive. The one I'm building now will cost me 100 bucks tops. If bought at a store it would be 200-300. The fact that it is custom sized for my needs would tack on who knows how much else. Granted mine aren't as pretty, but I do OK lol. A little trim to hide screws and such and you'd never know I built it.
