HI all,

I've recently moved house and I want to set up my 4ft tank for the first time. There isn't nay room in the livingroom for it to go and the floor isn't exactly great.

There is currently an electric fire place installed which I won't use and the plasterboard has been cut out. This backs onto a storage cupboard that I would love to put my tank in.

Has anyone done a similar project? Its the bottom section i'm looking to extend the hole and then face the outside and the inside.

Thanks.

My 220 gallon Oscar tank was in the wall between the kitchen and living room so you could see through it. Sump and everything was in the wall under it with access through a hidden door.

I've never done this myself but I'd imagine that if you add plenty of supports in the empty space then you should be fine. Basically like putting a stand in the wall. If there's a renter's or home owner's association to worry about you may want to run it by them.
