I have a lot of plants in my ten gallon. I have hornwort too. My hornwort likes to collect these long green hairs, guess it's from the plant. Anyways, I have fry. Molly fry.
I was looking in my tank and saw on of the molly fry wasn't swimming after food. Turns out it was attached to that string. I put it in a net and took the string out of its mouth with tweezers for like 10 minutes. I let the little guy go in the tank and see that there's a string that hangs out from his mouth, and out his rear.
    Is this a lost cause?

    Is it hair algae perhaps?

Idk, but there's really long strands of this stuff. I pulled one out from a bigger guppy and it's fine now

This is starting to sound dangerous! Can you get a picture of the green stuff?
