Fish Keeps Sitting After Every 5 Min And Not Moving

    Just moved two goldfish from a 5 gallon tank to a 36 gallon tank, I see the fish swimming but then all of a sudden it just stops, falls and stays still for a min. Tell me why

    I’d assume stress from the new environment.

    To me it sounds like pH shock. If it's not too far off from where he came to where he went...he may be ok. PH shock is a case where the fish will recover or die...there's no way to "unshock" them from the condition. They either recover or they don't. Try to keep them calm and leave the lights off for awhile. That usually helps...if pH shock is the problem.

    PH shock is rare. if he’s using his tap water the pH should be the same. It’d have to be a drastic swing

    I'm glad to hear the fish is well. That's definitely the result of mild pH shock. Good to know it wasn't severe.
