I am currently doing a fish in cycle, one goldfish in 7 gallon tank(yes I know it’s to small but it’s all I could afford and unfortunately my daughter got a goldfish in a bowl as a gift)
Anyways when will I know that the tank is cycled I know it takes a while but how do know when ?

I did the tests today and I got ammonia — 0.50
    Nitrites -0.25
    And nitrates 5.0

I have been doing daily water changes of 50 %
And these readings I just took and I haven’t done the daily water change yet, getting ready to now.

Also ordered some prime but it will not be here till tomorrow or Wednesday

    Thanks!!

Once your ammonia and nitrites both drop to zero. The TSS looks to have got you going well. You could be getting close. TSS says don't do water changes, but high Ammonia or nitrites are toxic... I would continue daily changes until you get prime, then daily dose and only change water when ammonia+nitrite are 1ppm or more.
