Just got this beautiful boy today. He came in with a shipment of ghost shrimp. Anyone know what he is?

Did you forget to post a picture, or is it there and I just can't see it?

Edit: There it is. I should have waited a moment. I don't know what it is, but I'm sure someone else will.

His finnage is red on the tail, and purple and yellow on the dorsal fin.

I would love it if he was a killi fish.

I do think that that is a bluefin killifish, they are a US native species. The traits, colors, body shape match up with photos online.

A picture with fins fully extended would help.

I have no clue... maybe you could ask the person who sent your ghost shrimp to you.

Male, or female? Never had a killi fish before.

Only the males have color, females are just beige with black/brown stripe. Very nicely colored population. They seem to show up quite frequently with feeder Ghost Shrimp.

Most of the feeder Ghost Shrimp are collected throughout central Florida, in most every body of water. I used to find them in both fresh and brackish waters.
