Fish dreams!

Ok, so I have some of the wierdest dreams in the world. Lately, I've been dreaming about fish, and recently I dreamed I had an oscar that ate my zebra danios, and in my dream I cried. And in that same dream, I had a red-tailed shark, but I got it out with the net and it turned into a eel. And sometimes I dream that I have a salt-water tank, and one time I dreamed that the characters from my favorite TV show were one the moon, which was really wierd, because the characters are FBI agents. What would FBI agents be doing on the moon?? I have no clue. But what was really funny about that dream is that my favorite character (I actually have had a crush on him for 2 years) falls off the moon. When I woke up, I was thinking, "WHAT??" Sometimes I dream that my brother dies, and sometimes I dream about this boy I have a crush on, or about stuff that I can't even remember. So here's the point of this thread: Share the funniest, wierdest, happiest, saddest, or scariest dream you've ever had. Ok, I'll shut up now.

I keep a notebook and pen next to my bed to write down my dreams, eventually I turn them into stories like the one I'm working on now. Uhm, I'll tell my scariest dream (sofar):

Really this isn't the scariest DREAM I've had, but the reaction I had to the dream is unique for me... Anywho so in my dream I was at a party with my entire High School class (I suppose it was a graduation party?) we were in the loft of a big red barn, which was basically 2 rooms in an L shape, one large one with a smaller side room. I was chatting with my friends (and old crush, that was an important detail a few years ago :rolleyes and having a loverly time when two guys in samuraI armor appear and demand our wallets. I explain that this is a HS senior class party, no one had wallets, prolly no money even if we did! I believe there was more dialogue exchanged, can't remember, but they didn't like that and did what bad guys do (for the sake of sensitivity I'll spare details, as short as they would be). My friends and I escaped into the side room and were trying to figure out what to do. Since we were too high up and couldn't jump out of the window, we came up with the idea to fake our deaths in hopes the criminals would pass us by, but that didn't work out too well.

Back to reality, when I passed in the dream, I actually stopped breathing in my bed. Something told me to wake up and I kinda forced myself awake, took a huge breath, and was ice cold. I'm not saying I passed in real life, cause clearly I'm typing this now... but apparently my body thought the dream was real. I sat up, caught my breath and warmed up, calmed myself down, then tried to go back to sleep and dreamed I was flying over a foggy field ... with laundry and a clown moving in slow motion hiding in the laundry ... yeah, that's my head for ya!

So like I said, tis not the scariest dream I've ever had (that would be a series of nightmares I had after watching Dead Space 2 clips) but the first (hopefully the last) scary reaction to a dream I've ever had. I've also had clandestine dreams... I wish I could trigger those!

I often dream about fish. It's such a relaxing hobby, I guess my mind goes to that when I'm sleeping.

I do have nightmares sometimes too. Mostly I'm able to tell they are dreams and I don't get too worked up. I often dream I have been swept up in a tornado and am looking down at my house.

As for your crush/FBI agent on the moon? Maybe there is a great cheese caper going on up there! LOL!

Too funny! I just got a betta fish for my office and my co-worker is in love with it! She came in the other day and told me she had a dream that she had a giant fish that would jump out of the bowl into her arms so she could pet it! Haha

I had a dream I was in scuba gear and was the size of a Lego guy... swimming around in my 20 gallon. Amazing how many little details if the plants/decor my brain remembered. It was awesome. Wish I could choose that dream every night.

last night I had the worst dream!! my betta was slowly dying. I was so scared to feed it this morning. I didn't want to see a dead betta in the bowl. to my relief, he was still alive. he was swimming and he ate when I fed him. tell me you have bad dreams about your fish too!!

I have had nightmares about my fish before - either about certain fish or about my guppies breeding to the point that they began to take over the world. More often, though, I get the Tetris Effect - I see patterns of fish swimming through water in schools when I start to drift off or if I am zoning out sometimes.

I had this crazy dream where my betta started swimming in the air. Thankfully that didn't really happen. I have also had weird dreams about either my fish dying, or of me being given big fish in tiny bowls, etc. The strangest thing though was that when I would dream a certain fish died, a few days later it would! I think I only had those fish dying dreams when I didn't know much about proper fish care, so being paranoid about them dying got in my dreams.

The night I got my first three guppies (so basically last Saturday night) I dreamed that I woke up to a tank full of fry. Hundreds upon hundreds of them. I was panicking and when I woke up the first thing I did was rush to my tank. No fry thank goodness.

Dream tonight was the opposite. I'm house sitting for my mom and I dreamed that all my fish were dead when I got home I'm not going to be very productive at work, I'll be too worried. I know it's silly to be worried, I saw them yesterday and they were fine. Uuuugh.

I have had a few dreams of my tanks exploding. I was not worried about the fish so much as how bad it ruined my house in my dream

Dreamt last night that I was an undercover CIA agent in a fish store. The employee I was there to spy on came over and asked if he could help me so, to avoid blowing my cover, I told him I wanted to buy an amano shrimp. He bagged it up for me and it was a very large one. After that, I just felt crummy because in the dream, as in reality, my tank was still nothing more than an empty glass box. I felt very, very anxious, trying to figure out what to do.

I chalk it up to a combination of thinking about my tank, reading/posting on this thread, and watching Chuck before bed.

I get the dead fish dream whenever I add a fish, add a ornament to the tank or do a large water change. I'm usually alright after 48 hours, but I get little sleep for those 48 hours! But I'm naturally paranoid anyway...

I had a bad dream about my fish once. I dreamt that my 55 gallon had swayed and tipped off the stand and bursting on the floor. It didn't quite come true, but the next day a corner seam had burst during the night and I had about 50 gallons on the living room floor! never want to have a nightmare with the fish again. I like the happy dreams where my endlers are goofing around much more

ok, so about a month ago I watched a TV show that scared me, two nights ago I woke up thinking about it. then I actually fell asleep. I had the weirdest dream where I continued the cliffhanger ending in my head. I woke up and was sad my dream was over. I spent the whole morning trying to continue it in my head, then I looked up episodes of that TV show. I couldn't sleep last night either.

once I had a dream where I was riding my scooter and a roller skating song that I must have made up in my sleep was playing. I fell off my scooter and was falling from 2000 meters in the air. I woke up with a deep breath.

I used to have dreams about the Jimmy neutron seiries.

I hope you don't mind gory details. my dog was really itchy in reality I went to bed and my dream was that dad pulled a purple gland out of her throat, that was the cause of the itch. then I think he either ate it or pulled one out of his throat too

once I dreamt that I saw zombies with my friend. they looked nothing like zombies

once my dream was a random sieries of events. one of them being my dad sliding across the kitchen floor on his stomach

I used to always have a dream where I was carried to my room. then I cried

a few times when I was really young I woke up crying. one time I was crying over wanting a "big kid glass" then I woke up crying. one time I woke up crying after dreaming that I said "what happened to the pink panther?"

I also got the dying fish dream.

last night I had a dream where I had my 1 gallon fish tank and it had so many fish. of course I said "this tank is overstocked!"

Ugh I had a dream I lost my fish in a drain the other night... then last night I had a dream my pleco somehow got in the washer machine somehow and then I was giving my fish CPR.... WHAT... why was I giving a non lunged creature CPR in a dream...

I mean I have many stressful hobbies but why are my fish keeping me up at night? Lol

I can't be the only one with this issue haha Story time!

Man, after I stopped keeping fish I would have dreams about them anyway. When things weren't going so well, I'd have barren tanks and fish I'd 'forgotten' to feed for like a month, just sad state of affairs, fish dying etc. I remember one dream where an old fish had jumped out of the tank and flopped all the way into some cobwebby corner down an airvent and there I was trying to get it free, but I was like, too afraid of spiders down there (which don't normally bother me, but dream spiders are something completely different >:c). So I had to let that one die. How depressing.

Then after whatever was stressing me out passed, HAPPY AQUARIUM DREAM baby fish new fish funky disco cool fish swimming out of my tank into the air, weird fish that don't exist irl (panda catfish that LOOK LIKE TINY AQUATIC PANDAS).

I came to trust those dreams as a pretty good indicator of my disposition, or if something I was ignoring was stressing me out.

Now I have fish again and the dreams don't happen so much unless I'm worried about my real fish! DARN. So I suppose you must care about yours a lot if you'd be willing to do mouth-to-mouth with a pleco.

Maybe these dreams are actually about your houses turning on you. You know--the pipes, the air vents, etc.

Yeah that pleco is my favorite fish... But trust me I wouldn't blow air into a dead fish XD He is the only one that can take the heck I put into that tank, I mean that guy is a true fighter, He never gets sick.

And yes right now my tanks water conditions are all off and over the charts... No pressure right?

Maybe you should stop eating pizza before bed.
HOW DID YOU KNOW. 0_o no really I did have pizza right before bed.

Do you ever/have you ever had a dream about your fish or about FL?

Okay, maybe you might think this is creepy but a couple nights ago DoubleDutch was in one of my dreams hahaha. Obviously I don't even know what he looks like but I just thought that was crazy that he came into one of my dreams. Have any of you had something like this happen?

I have weird dreams... in about 90% of them I'm doing very boring routine tasks --- like weed-eating, mowing the lawn, doing desk work.... then there are the wake-up-in-a-blind-panic ones. I'd prefer less of those. In one, my big fish tank had developed a gaping hole and tons of water were pouring out of it flooding my office, which is weird because it's only a 29 gallon tank, but it was like Hoover Dam bursting open. My desk was even floating and my albino corys were scavenging for food on my carpet. I'd prefer hours of dream-lawn-mowing.

Had a dream in what someone was changing water and putted all my fish in a small kitchen bowl. Then next scene was inside the bathroom, everything seemed ok until the one with the bowl came in and dumped the water from the bowl into the toilet. Terror moment, dream becoming nightmare. Most of fish dissapeared and I remember of a
resuscitation attempt in one of my beloved plecos. Thanks was just a dream, but why our mind do this with us??!!!?ead:
Big lol at this!

I had a dream where a giant betta somehow got into one of my betta's tanks. I kept trying to scoop it out, but every time I would, a new one would appear in the tank. I ended up with about ten giant bettas and I was panicking because I didn't know what to do with them. That one actually made more sense than most of my dreams do, but still petty stressful.

My most recent one:
For some reason I woke up to Jupiter, rose and another female all in the same 10 gallon tank. I quickly grabbed a stack of petsmart cups and kept scooping but every time I brought the cup back up it would have 2 bettas already in it and I was moveing those too. My desk was full of em... then I woke up.

Other parts of dreams:
Ive had other dreams where I visit the SAME fish store each month, not a real one but a made up one in my mind. Its just amazing... its always the same store each month. Rectangle with tanks all around the room and the middle but a cashier in the very back wall.
Or other times ive met fish that have passed away before. its kinda weird that I get to see fish that passed away.
