Fish Color Are Changing

HI Guys,

Please I need your expert advise.

Last week Saturday, I have bought a 26 Gallons used Aquarium along with following Fishes

02 Red Eye Tetra
01 Pleco
01 Angel
03 Plattie
02 KhulI loach
02 Rose Line Shark

I am a beginner and I have made a very big mistake by adding new following fishes very next day.

02 Dwarf Gourami
02 Pearl Guorami
02 Silver Shark
03 KhulI loach
02 Angle fish

Surprisingly All fishes were mingled and are living with peace.

Yesterday evening I had noticed that both the Dwarf Gourami's skin color was becoming black. so I had checked the Ammonia which was 0.25, so immediately I had changed 25% water.

Now today morning I had noticed that one of the Pearl Guorami had fungal on her head so I had added API PIMAX into the fish tank.

Now its evening here and I have noticed that other fishes color is also becoming black.

So I have just done following tests and below are the results.

PH - 6.8
AMONIA - 0.0
NITRITE - 0.0
NITRATE - 20

Could you guys please advise how can I keep my Fish Tank Healthy and Safe?

Many Thanks

Welcome to Fishlore! You’re going to have a fair amount of returning/rehoming to do.

There are many things wrong with the tank stocking to begin with so I recommend re homing a lot of the fish you listed-

Silver sharks need 120 gallons min
pearl gourami need 30 gallons min
Rose Line Shark needs 50 gallons min
3 angelfish need about 40 gallons min
I wouldn't even keep a pleco in that size, Fish turning black is usually an indication of ammonia burn, and i'm not surprised with having a tank so overstocked.

Three Angels is a bad number and actually would require closer to 50 gallons minimum.

What are the dimensions?

Your tank actually comes out to 30 US gallons then.

Which ones are your favorites?

Understood.

So after re-homing, do I need to change the water even test results are within the limits ?

Water changes replenish necessary minerals, so it’s best to do at least one a week (percentage doesn’t really matter as long as parameters are good).
