First time dealing with ghost shrimp

I have a 10 gallon with two balloon mollies and two guppies. I was planning on adding two ghost shrimp, but I'm not really sure how I should do it? When they're in the bag and I'm ready to add them to the tank, should I just put them in a net and then put them in the tank like any other fish, or what? I mean they look so small and fragile, so I don't want to accidentally kill them by putting them in the net or something.. Sorry just a random question.

Side note, I'm planning on buying them frozen bloodworms or frozen brine shrimp. Which would be better for them in your opinion, and if my mollies eat them will it be okay? This is my first time with balloon mollies as well and I don't know if they can get bloated like my African Cichlids would if they ate blood worms.

Thanks!

If your mollies do eat them, it was just a $.3o+- treat for the guys(As far as I've ever known). When I put my shrimp in the tank, I drain the bags as much as possible with the shrimp still in, and then just drop the shrimp into the tank, straight from the bag. No netting involved.

If my mollies happen to eat the ghost shrimp, do you think they'd get sick or anything like that?

No, just more protein. And it would be best not to add any more shrimp. But I don't think they would bother them

Do you have plants in the tank (real or fake)? The shrimp will like the hiding places.

I'm guessing you've probably added them by now, but in case you haven't, be sure to cover the net!! I went to move mine to a different tank, and let me tell you, those suckers can jump! Just about gave me a heart attack when he sproinged from the net and landed on my desk. I panicked trying to get him back in the net without squishing him.

I would like to second hiding places - not only will they enjoy them, but they'll have a better chance of survival. As an aside, if you ever have any small fish or fry in your tank, the ghost shrimp may eat them.

My tank has large river rock for the substance, very hard to clean but has a great eye appeal. The shrimp love to hide between the rock grooves. They will disappear for hours. Make sure to have somewhere where the shrimp can go by themselves and where the other fish can't get them. This way, when they molt, they won't be so vulnerable

Meh, didn't get any. Went to LFS and ALL the ghost shrimp we're dead About 10 of them in the same tank, laying on their sides motionless, and they weren't so see through anymore.. They were very opaque. I felt so sorry for the guys :/ I wonder what happened to them...

Could be anything in the store, shipment stress, disease outbreak, temp change, etc etc etc. The best time to get fish is 24-48 hours after shipment comes in.
