Hey guys,

So I'm looking to get into saltwater tanks. I've been researching for the past 2 months already and yesterday I made a visit to my lfs to ask about their opinions on tanks, lights, equipment, etc. I was originally planning on a 40 gallon tank as my first but the guy at my lfs recommended the 13.5 gallon Fluval Evo. Here is the link for the tank:

He wants to help me ease into the hobby so that I don't lose a ton of money over mistakes. Do you think this would be a good starter tank to learn how saltwater tanks work? If so, what kind of stocking suggestions do you have? Thanks

In my opinion you would be better off with a larger tank. The nano tanks have a lot less room for error due to the small volume of water.

Agreed with Kaz, the 40 would be better. There isn't much you could put in a tank that size.

Definitely get the 40 gallon. Better yet! Get bigger. Bigger is better with saltwater.

A 40 breeder would be the best, more surface area means you can have more fish.
