I'm pretty sure the echinata can be. Not sure on lords. I haven't seen my lords have long ones but I also have never seen my echinatas have long ones either. Similar with my favia/favites. Often they just have the tiny feeders out, sort of in a flower pattern, but then other times they have stingers/feeders out for several inches! My bowerbankI is huge and fluffy. Lords are about an inch across or less per head and fluffy, and the echinatas are more flat and less than an inch in my case. I've also seen some that look more like a solid piece with multiple mouths rather than individual heads. Not sure how to tell specifically on echinatas. Don't know anything about Maximas.
Ok,

I managed to sleep through the alarm, so I didn't get to see them in the dark.

I'll try again tonight.

Ok,
Is it normal for them to close up about 10 muinets before lights out?
It's really weard as mine do it.

Mine close up shortly before lights out too. I'm guessing it's normal. They seem to be used to their schedule, which is just cool.

,
My new leather closes up at 6:30, which is 30 muinets after my LFS closes.

Ok,
So I went down at around 5 am and saw the acan, he was in a shirt off UFO shape with tenticals only coming a few mm out.

There were a few bristle worms but not many.

I bet if you drop a pinch of food in the bristle worms would come out of the wood work! Those and little brittle stars.
This little guy has been growing in my bc29. I was shocked to see how long the legs were when I put some food in.

Couldn't say about the bristle worm. The other worms you mentioned, do you mean the regular feather duster worms?

Probably. Only kind of worms other than tube worms that I have. They are detritivores. They live in the sand and rocks. Sort of pinkish tan and almost look jagged on the sides but it’s actually little segments of bristles.

He's picking at the leather, is he just picking dead skin off???

Edit2: he claimed to the top and knocked it over , hermet crabs are so silly .

A scarlet or red leg is most likely picking at dead tissue, algae, food ... I’ve heard of certain blue leg ones (with fuzzy legs) eating on corals ... not sure how true this is or what specific species they are talking about. Your guy appears to be red.

Throw in a few extra shells ... (did we already discuss this? I follow so many threads!)

Hi,
I'm glad he's only eating dead stuff (that coral wasn't the cheapest)
I have 4 shells in the tank.
He was sold as a red legged hermet crab.
