First 8 fish are in the new 75 gallon but..

So I got 7 tiger barbs last night and moved my red tail jnto my 75 gallon. My end fish will be 7 tiger barbs 7 green tiger barbs 14 black neon tetras and a red tail shark. But I fed them last night and noticed there was no one to clean up after them. So is there room to add more fish? If so what would be a safe number? I'm thinking about getting some Cory catfish.

Corys should be fine. Sand is better than gravel, and make sure to have at the least 6. Even though they are bottom feeders and can scavenge for scraps, they should not rely strictly on scraps, but have their own food as well.

Would 6 be okay? That would put total fish in the tank to 35

I believe 6 should be fine. I personally wouldn't put any less.

You could easily do 15-20 in that footprint but as mentioned above, they should not be relied on as a clean up crew. They're carnivores and need a meaty diet of shrimp pellets, catfish wafers and live/frozen foods.

And there is no magic number when stocking. You have room for other fish too!

You might not want to do the black neons, there's a good chance they'll get beat on. Maybe try some glofish tetras, 6 cories and 2 BN pleco for algae, and the tiger barbs.

I don't care for any of the glo fish, are there any other good tank mates for tiger barbs? Also wouldn't 2 bn pleco get to big later?

BN plecos only get to about 6" long or so. I just put one in my 75 as well, he looks terrific but is hard to spot, lots of hiding places for him.

I believe other barbs are another option. Gold, Odessa, black ruby, or rosy barbs all might work. There are also different color variants of the tiger barbs.

So is bn bristle nose or bushy nose? So no neon tetras or black woke tetras at all? My lfs has a little species card for the black neons and they get 2" what makes them bad for tigers?

A bushy nose is a bristle nose. The tigers will chew on the black neons. And you can put at least 2 Bn plecos in your tank. I keep 8 in a 100 gallon, and a 6 inch Vampire pleco, 24 full grown glofish, 11 cory cats, and 18 large rainbow fish. Everybody says that's too many fish, and that's why I have over 300 rainbow babies and around 50 cory cats babies, from that tank. What I'm trying to say is if your willing to do regular water changes you can put quite a few fish in your tank.

I wouldn't do cories with the barbs. My barbs attacked the cories back when I had them. Also the redtail will attack the cories and Barbs once he hits maturity. Pleco would be good in that tank though. I've also seen people do tiger barbs with piranhas.
