fins deteriorating

one of my tetras has some bad fins. there are five in the tank he is the only one with the condition. could anyone one share some input i would really appreciate it.

the rest may be bullying him. take him out and quarantine him with some vitachem or melafix, and try to put him back in when his fins are back to normal.

they might continue bullying him, but it sounds like your only option. theyll probably kill him eventually

i bought 3 new ones to see if increasing the school would decrease the tension. I also included 6 new black neon tetras all seems to be well and his fins look better already.

It is definitely in their nature to chase each other around. the black skirts do not have as uniform of schooling habits as the neons do. The black skirts seem to be really playfull and fin nipping will always happen. Hopefully they will not single out one member again.
