For part of my final project in my art class, we have to make a model of an animal that we made up. For my model, I'm going to do a big stuffed animal of my animal.

My animal (please ignore my poor attempt at a non-profile view :p)

Very cool, I like it :;hf

I'm no good at art, so you're already ahead of me..........

    Does your animal have ears?

Haha, this is my first big sewing project. I usually sew by hand, but this one is just too big to do it nicely by hand in the time I have. I've never done such a large project before either @.@

He's too cool for ears :p Actually, I've been thinking about giving him some. Not sure if I will yet or not...

    :giggle:

How big is he going to be?

Looks like he'll be about a foot and half tall, to the top of the head. I'm about to finish drawing out the rest of the pieces, cut them out, and then start putting them together... I hope I have enough stuffing!

Wouldn't you have to kind of stretch the shape to allow for the filling?

    PS - looks good ;)

Yes, thats what the long pointy piece and the spade shaped piece are for. The first one is for the chest and belly, from butt to jaw, and the seond one is for the top of the head, from muzzle to (hopefully, due to my lack of a tape measure :;nin2) shoulders.

Ahhh, got it! See, told you I'm no good at art.

Well you know what they say, measure twice and cut once :p

Can't wait to see pics of your new friend....

I think I just changed it to "Measure never, and cut forever" :p

I have a whole other sheet of fabric that size though, so its all good LOL Should turn out good, though.... :)

Its almost done! I slacked on it for a few days, and now I'm rushing to get it done by 2:15 tomorrow LOL I've only got about 1/2 of left to sew together, and then stuff it, and put the eyes and nose on. Not much to look at right now, really. ^.^' Pics when it gets a bit closer to being done, I promise ;)
