Fin tear length of healing

My betta got a few tears in his tail fin a few days ago. Did water change of 30% this morning as well as one Sunday. I've switched majority of fake plants with silk and live plants. How long does it take for a bettas tail fin to heal? He is acting completely normal in all respects.

 

Depending on the injury it can take a few weeks. As long as water parameters are good and you keep up on the water changes probably won't take too long.

 

clk89..ok, thanks! I will probably do at least 2 water changes a week. Is that enough? It's a couple tears/small chunks and they have not gotten any worse. Sorry if this is all normal stuff. This is my first tank.
