Fin rot? Or something else?

A couple of my mollies have discoloring fins. I lost a Molly yesterday that appeared to be losing his color for a while. I’ve attached photos of a couple others. Some of the male guppies have rough looking fins also but they frequently pick on each other. Everyone seems to act fine with the exception of a couple platies that look kinda thin and seem to clamp their fins often. Any input is greatly appreciated!

40 gallon breeder has been running for two months after upgrading from a 20, 25-50% weekly water changes. Heavily planted, large driftwood, two fake driftwood looking rocks they can swim through. Fluval 307. I currently have 13 guppies, 3 mollies (one might actually be a lyretail sword), 3 danios, 3 adult platies + 10(ish) teenagers :p, 2 super red plecos, 2 panda corys, 2 bumbleebee cats, 2 swordtails, 10 adult mystery snails and more babies than I can count. I do have a breeding box full of guppy fry and another breeding box with newly hatched snails so I’m hesitant to treat with medications. I know mollies tend to prefer a higher ph, and I’ve been trying to slowly raise it because of the snails too but can’t get it above 7.4

Ph: 7.2
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 20

That looks like a fungal infection. (The red panda)
I wondered about that. Any idea what treatment is snail safe? I’d like to treat the entire tank vs quarantining but there’s way too many snails to move

Most of the treatments are not snail safe. Your best bet it to move them to a bucket or separate tank and put a air bubbler into that bucket and treat the fish in there. I would watch for your other fish as well because it can spread.

I would also move them to something else for treatment

Looks more just like the natural coloration to me. Fish loosing their color and clamping fins like you mentioned are usually indicators of stress. The corries and the danios really should both be in larger groups; danios especially can become aggressive if not in a proper school and can pick on other tankmates (causing stress.)

What is the temperature of the tank? Could you provide a picture of the tank as well?

Yeah that’s what I meant to say. Just in more complex terms.

Yeah I acquired the danios after the rest of their school got eaten in my boyfriend’s tank, I have plans to get more of them but I’ve been watching some fish for a while trying to figure out what’s going on with them and didn’t want to add more fish to a potential problem. They mostly keep to themselves though and the cories seem completely fine. Tank stays at 77 degrees and I make sure the temp is the same when adding water. I added a picture of my tank

I decided to move the mollies to my quarantine and treat that with salt for now, and increase water changes in the 40 gallon. The only fish that clamp and appear stressed are two platies that are newer to the tank. The mollies don’t even seem stressed
