Just rescued this guy a few days ago, he was in a cup for months at pet smart... Got tired of seeing him in there every time i went for my other fish so i had the wife go pick him up. So here he is in his te 15297885756711391445734.jpg mporary tank until i can figure out if he has fin rot.

Can you take a clear picture of his fins? It looks like he might have mild fin rot on his tail.

If it is torn or looks ripped a little from the ends, that would be fin rot. With it being said that he was in that petsmart for that long, I would say it is that, or he even probably started bitting at it from stress of being in that cup. The best remedy would be water changes, frequent water changes for either him bitting at it or it being fin rot.
