Fin rot or nipping??

Hi, my guppy’s tail seems to be rotting away! I'm thinking maybe fin rot but not sure. No other fish in the tank have any problems and all water tests are fine. 0,0,20. I don't have a quarantine tank to separate him. Could it be fin nipping maybe? I have some ParaGuard that I could use if needs be and have been doing large water changes. Any advice would be appreciated.

What kind of other fish do you have housed with him

Since all the fish you have aren't aggressive and wouldn't nip fins I'd say its fin rot

I believe I can see plastic plants? Or I am mistaken? The tail looks rather ripped by the plastic plants which then can lead to finrot.

I don't quite agree with this. First, this is not finrot, second that gouramies can be sometimes quite aggressive and can nip fins.

Yes most of the plants are plastic although I do have a few live plants as well. I think my Gourami is ok as I have never seen him be anything other than peaceful but I have seen the other Male guppy’s go for each other occasionally. So do you think it would be worthwhile trying Seachem ParaGuard?

It is worthless to use chemicals. It is not finrot, your guppy has a torn tail because of the plastic plants. You should remove the plastic plants and put in live ones, just live plants. And do frequent WCs to prevent finrot.
