Fin damage to betta

Potatomancer

I'm devasted. My roommate, who apparently is not experienced with nets, tried moving my betta to a different tank the other day. And, well... his fins did not take it well. What can I do to help him? Is he at a high risk of developing fin rot now? Is he in pain? I'm so sad...

Poor little guy!
He is at risk of developing fin rot, but if you keep the water really clean, he should be fine. I would recommend 25% water changes every 3 days until he's healed.
Hope he heals up soon.

Will do. What signs should I watch for? Just the ends of his fins turning darker?

Yes, or white, but if you keep the water clean that shouldn't happen.
