Hi--I'm a retired old man
and want to know more about
All answers happily recieved
wat exactly do u want to konw bout these two things
lookin to get lots of input on filters and gph
I have whisper filters 20-40
but there is no indication as to how much gph there is?????????
I have two 30 gal tanks and wat to put in lots of fish
There are many types of filters out there, Hang on Back (HOB), canister, sponge, internal...... It is recommended to have 10 times the gallons per hour (gph) of the size of your tank. There is a lot of discussion about different filters and what is best for what tanks in our filtration forum. I'm going to move this there for you to get more input!
P.S. Welcome to FishLore!
is 20-40 up to how big of tank it can filter and r the filters internal or external
I want to thank "BUTTERFLY" for getting me into this great group
My filters are external 20-40 "WHISPER"
but the packaging does'nt tell me the GPH
shouli I get more filters so I can have lots of fish????????
the gph is probly 150-200 an hour so that would make it not that muc maybe 4-6 max times the amount of water is in ur tank so essentially u cant hav much more than 30 inches of fish in ur tank but just b/c u hav a biggger filter doesnt mean u can hav more fish they pooop more so ur gona hav to do more water changes and probly monitor ur levels more not positiv on this ask gunnie or butterfly or something like that
:-*Thanx to all you guys
who replied to my question
it's nice to get help when needed
If any one else can offer more advice all the better
wat else r u interested in knowing
hint) it hleps to be more specic to get anweres that u r looking for
