    Hi mountaindw,
300 micron should let through more than 100 micron.

    1 micron = 0.001 mm, or about 0.000039 inches

Thus 300 micron is a bigger hole than 100 micron, so a 300 will let larger particles through. Does it mean it won't clog as quickly? Hard to say, depends on what is in the water.

For reference, the sediment filter in a RO/DI unit is (typically) 1 micron, why basically means only pure water gets through. Here's what happened to my RO unit when the 1 micron sediment filter filled up: https://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/...er-cartridges-ro-di-system-pics-included.html
