If the filter suck is to strong use the sponge filter until they are bigger.

Sorry to heard that .If a fish gets stuck to a filter, it's already on its way out and is too weak to swim away. I would keep an eye on the other one, does it look sick to you? Also, is the tank cycled?

btw, comets should not be kept in anything less than 100+ gallons, as they can get as large as koi. I would rehome the second comet

I mean I don't know if its stressed or sick but it lays on the bottom of the tank a lot and doesn't move around much but my other comet fish have acted similar but adapted after a couple of days and yes I know they grow to be big that's why I plan on giving them away as they get bigger

Why not rehome now and stock the tank with something compatible. You have a large enough tank for a large variety of stocking?

that sounds like sick fish to me. Giving it away later most likely won't work unless someone with a pond has told you they want your fish. And comets grow FAST. I agree with Big Red, you have room for lots of fish if you rehome the comet

Sorry for your loss.
Whats your temp? Water parameters and what do you test with?

You've gotten comet goldfish before based on previous threads and people have already advised you not to get them for the tank size you have but you keep getting more. Why? And what happened to the ones you had before?

I wanted to at first but ive grown to like my goldfish a lot and after talking to 4 different fish specialists they've all said that I can keep them while they are still young and too small for the tank but as they get bigger I need to rehome them but they said it will take at least 2-3 years for a comet fish to grow to its full size, so eventually I will give them all a better home but ive grown to like my fish

the summer and winter are doing amazing they are very active and happy, so is autumn, I make sure I do regular water changes and check the water parameters regularly

It's not fair for them to be in a tank they're going to outgrow. Wouldn't it be harder to give them away when you grow too attached to them? Why not have fish you can keep for their entire lives?

You had issues before in cycling your tanks with goldfish. Is this tank cycled? What are your parameters? Sounds like your goldfish aren't very happy and active if one just died and the other is laying on the bottom.

these are the fish that are happy, that ive had for months now, the one I'm worried about is the little one at the end of the video who is at the top of the tank, my friend got him for me as a gift, he doesn't swim around very much and does have clamped fins but he has had clamped fins since he was given to me yesterday night.

the water parameters are:

temp: 68 degrees
ph: 7.2
ammonia: 0.25
nitrate: 0

What about nitrite? If your nitrate is 0, then your tank isn't cycled. You want some nitrate (<20)
