Quick question fellas, I used a pot that I've previously washed with dish soap to pour water into one of my tanks. I realize now that dish soap is no bueno, I'm draining and replacing with water that will come from a bucket that has never been washed. Besides draining everything, rinsing rocks, plants and driftwood, is there anything else I need to do?

You should be ok. Just because something was washed with soap doesn't make it super dangerous. As long as the pot was rinsed well with water, there should be hardly any soap residue on there. It is best to be as safe as possible, though, so the bucket from now on should be better. Good luck!

Just rinse it well. There are folks on this forum that wash their aquariums out with Dawn dishwashing liquid and apparently get by with it. That's out of my comfort zone lol.
