Just wondering about my filament barb, Fili. I've had him/her for many years. FilI was originally with a couple of other filament barbs and others in a community aquarium, but he/she is the lone survivor of that group. I had FilI in a 55 gallon with a young female Jack Dempsey and it harassed her almost to death. To save the JD, I took FilI out and he/she now resides in a 39g with tiger barbs. FilI doesn't beat them up but they're good at hiding when they're chased.
My question though actually is...what is with this fish when it acts like it's trying to jump out of the tank? It shimmies and throws water all over the place, usually towards the water outtake of the filters. It's done this in all the aquariums I've had it in. It's not a constant thing, but the day it does it, it goes on off and on all day.
