I got a pair of kribensis that's on their second spawn. Their first spawn they took care of the babies together I took all the babies out and they had a second spawn. This new spawn is about a week old and they were doing fine but today the male is chasing a female around.should I leave them alone and keep an eye on them or separate them or remove the babies?

I have breeding kribs make sure there is plenty of places to hide mine have ding dongs like married couples some times but end up back together I leave my fry in with mine un till the female dissapers to there breeding hole and doesn't come out then I take the fry out because there will be more soon and the father will kill the original fry to protect the new ones hope this helps I breed then very successfully

Now they seem fine,I'll keep a eye on them. I'm finding out I better have an outlet for babies. They breed a lot.

I find that if u leave the fry in there they are less likely to breed because of the amount of fish in the tank I have a kresh tank to bring them on before I sell them feed them high protein food as well they will grow much quicker and good they have stopped they fall out from time to time as long as there not damaging each others fins and going there separate ways for small durations of time they will be fine

Well I have 2 sets of fry right now some that is about 3 months old in the kresh tank taking a bit longer to grow them out as I had over 90 fry originally from one time In 1 90 litre tank so not much room to grow but I have had the fry with there parents for about a month and a half and no more breeding as of yet and I'm putting it down to how many fish there are in the tank. As I have guppies and honey gourami and penguin tetra in there to

They had around 20 or so in the first brood and there in a grow out tank. This brood looks about the same. The pair is in a 30 gallon by them selves.

Add a few other fish 4 or 5 will bring them out from hiding more anything that's swims near the top gives them more confidence

3 honey gouramis will do it will they like the top of the tabk and my kribs don't go anywhere near them but come out a lot more than when there were no other fish in there

Yah anything that makes them feel safe from above predators that's the reason for having a few in there so they don't hide as without other fish they tend to assume there are predators above it's a survival thing

I'll try it. I've only been seriously in the hobby for about a year and no matter how much research and do everyday is a learning experience thank you
