Did the primary rebuild of Fergus's tank this weekend. I like it a lot better than I did his previous tank. It gives me more variety in the types of habitat he can swim around and I've seen him exploring the whole thing.


Changed his substrate to pool filter media with Fluval Stratum underneath - it surfaced as I was poking the plants into the sand. I've since covered some of the front left corner with light-colored gravel for a texture change. The driftwood is mopani from Petco that I boiled and soaked for a week and a half to leech tannins. The plants are left to right, back to front:
Amazon Sword
Anubias coffeefolia
Crypt parva
Java Fern
Anubias nana (I think...)
A moss ball
Water lettuce at the top.

I've also added a tiger nerite (Gary) and a zebra nerite (Julian), and 10 MTS (collectively known as Louis).
